The three levels of Reiki attunement are the Shoden First Teachings, the Okuden Inner Teachings, and the Shinpiden Mastery Teachings. Most systems that have been created to teach Reiki have three levels or grades for students to learn. Those are Reiki I, Reiki II and Reiki III, which is the master level of Reiki. Some systems teach the Reiki Master level to include becoming a Master Healer and Reiki Master.
Other systems teach Reiki Master Healer part a and Reiki Master Teacher part b. This is to make teaching easier. There are some systems that have a fourth level or degree of Reiki. This is the Grand Master of Reiki and is usually reserved for the highest or most prominent boss of a Reiki system.
Each level of Reiki has a unique role, and remember that you don't have to move forward if you're comfortable with where you are. In other words, your level of Reiki shouldn't be determined by how many tunes you have or how long you've been practicing. They will be able to heal at a deep level and learn how Reiki energy works to harmonize their own energy with universal healing energy. Many Reiki teachers go through each level slowly, taking months or even years at each level, so that they really feel ready to commit seriously to Reiki and feel confident in their own ability to help others.
If first grade consisted of working with yourself from a more physical perspective, at level 2 of Reiki, you start to focus on your mental and emotional side. Keep in mind that the fees for Level 3 Reiki training will be higher than the previous two levels to ensure that students take the practice seriously; the energy in healing Reiki, although not seen, is very serious and is a great responsibility and commitment. The main components of a level one tune that takes a few hours to complete are practical practice, a discussion of the lineage of Reiki, and an explanation of how to do Reiki. During tuning, you connect to a higher vibration level, which is why it's best to progress one level at a time.
At Reiki Level 1, you don't use symbols or other complex techniques, just a clear intention and your hands. This level of Reiki provides people with an introduction to practice and facilitates the beginning of the connection with unlimited divine energy. At level 1 of Reiki training, a person learns the basics of energy healing and how to use Reiki healing itself. Whether or not you're new to Reiki and energy healing, many people aren't familiar with the different levels of Reiki mastery.
Therefore, the master level should not be taken lightly or for any other reason other than being a devoted Reiki healer. This is an entry-level Reiki training in which you study the history of Reiki, learn how to perform self-Reiki and how to give Reiki to another person, and they initiate (tune in) you for life to the energy of Reiki. As a Level Two Reiki practitioner, it's important to keep in mind that you don't “give Reiki to others, but will serve as a channel or conduit, to help them access their own divine energy and help them connect to Reiki as needed. The levels in the Reiki method are due to the creative and expressive richness and power of the method itself.
